WHAT THE MINORITY SAID, WHAT THE MAJORITY SAID AND WHAT GOD SAID!

One. GOD SAID: "The land of Canaan which I give unto the Children of Israel" Numbers 13:2. "Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours . there shall be no man able to stand before you" - Deuteronomy 11:24-25, Joshua 1:3.

Two. TEN SPIES SAID: "We be not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we" Numbers 13:31. "We saw the giants . we were in our own sight as grasshoppers" - Numbers 13:33.

Three. TWO SPIES SAID: "Let us go up at once, and possess it . the Lord is with us, fear them not" - Numbers 13:30; 14:9.

Four. It is amazing! Twelve men walked side by side, saw the same country, witnessed the same conditions. All gave a glowing report of what they saw. But ten men had a negative, fearful attitude. Two had a confident, faith attitude. Ten voted for defeat and failure. Two voted for success and victory. A right and wrong attitude is what prevailed.

Five. How about you? "God has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness" 2 Peter 1:5. "He has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" Ephesians 1:3. "God is the giver of every good and perfect gift" James 1:17. "God delights to give you richly all things to enjoy" 1Timothy 6:17. The Bible declares "All things are yours, and you are Christ's" - 1 Corinthians 3:21.

Six. Are you praising God for these wonderful gifts which are yours? Cease glorifying your defeats, your lack, your sickness, and begin to glorify God in your victories, your supply, your health. It is high time to convert your excuses into testimonies!

Seven. On which ballot are you voting? For victory or defeat? For success or failure? Boldly affirm the scriptures that assure of conquest in all spiritual battles and you'll experience them. Be hesitant and reluctant about your provisions in Christ and you'll be defeated.

Eight. The bolder your confession of faith, the greater will be your victories. Praise God for all things that are yours. Not "I wish I was blessed," but "I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus!" Hallelujah, it is so!

Nine. Confess your riches in Christ, then possess your possessions!

GLORY TO GOD!

You need to abide in God as God abides in you. The anointing you have received is an abiding anointing(1 John 2:27).

The anointing you have already received is an abiding anointing. It stays in you and with you as you walk with Him continually. This anointing also requires you to abide in Him – The Holy Spirit. The anointing is for an end. For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14).The purpose of the anointing, first and foremost is to guide you, teach you, strengthen you and help you in everything, so the sacrifice of Jesus, dying for you; - its purpose will be fully realized.

I pray that God will perfect you forever, and your spirit, soul and body will be found blameless at the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. No matter the challenges you are facing today; may He deliver you, teach you, lift you and be glorified in you; in Jesus mighty name! Amen and Amen!!

In 2 Kings 9:6, the Bible says concerning Jehu And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

God anointed Jehu for a purpose.

KNOCKED DOWN, BUT NOT KNOCKED OUT

AND THE NEW!

2 Corinthians 4:8-11 (NKJV)....8 We are hard-pressed (closely pursued attacked) on every side (everywhere), yet not crushed (suffocated); we are perplexed (puzzled), but not in despair (hope);9 persecuted (harassed), but not forsaken (abandoned); struck down (to cause pain), but not destroyed (put a end to) 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Their was a fad many years ago about a famous nba basketball player, the fad said don’t you want to be like mike, like mike, well it has played out of course, but I want to reiterate the Word of God to you not a fad, LIKE CHRIST, I WANNA BE LIKE CHRIST, I must warn you being like Christ is going to cost you something but it won’t fade out or away, it’s permanent.  Tell SOMEBODY I want to be like Christ.

Sometimes life can be like a boxing match. We can get punched and beat up so bad that we're ready to throw in the towel, or those close to us are ready to Through in the tower for us and call it quits. But God's message to all of us today is this: “You May Be Knocked Down, But You're Never Knocked Out!”  The Same GOD that allowed for us to make it to the halfway point of the year, is the same GOD that will get us to the end of the year.  Picture yourself in a 12 round boxing match, the 6th round is the halfway point, after the 6th round or month your SECOND WIND SHOULD START TO KICK IN. You can see the finish line, you can see the championship belt around your waist and you can hear AND THE NEW.  Tell somebody knocked down but not knocked out.  THE APOSTLE PAUL SAID:

I. We Are HARD-PRESSED (burdened, closely pursued), But Not CRUSHED (subdued):

1. What does Paul mean by “hard-pressed?” The Greek word for “hard-pressed” means, “to be squeezed in,” or “to be pressed in.”

2. To put it in today's times we would say, to be “hard-pressed” means “to be caught between a rock and a hard place.” No where to hide or run.

3. Paul tells us about all those times he was caught “between a rock and a hard place”:....Paul tells us about, His persecutions, From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—besides the other things, that comes upon me daily. Still think your persecutions are unbearable?

Despite all these troubles and hardships, Paul said, “I was knocked down, but I was never knocked out.“I was hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed.” And that is the message for you and I today. None of us has ever, or likely will ever experience the degree of troubles and hardships that the apostle Paul experienced. But our troubles, our persecutions seem every bit as serious and real to us don't they? Let me remind you that YOUR TROUBLE IS YOUR TEST, that’s why it doesn’t last always. Tests have a time limit to them. They are not intended to last forever.  Tell your neighbor PASS YOUR TEST.

WHAT’S TIED TO YOUR SOUL?

The Soul vs. The Spirit:

We must not let our soul rule us. The soul will always try to be in control and that is why it is of the utmost importance to feed our spirit with the Word of God, worship and prayer.

A spiritual principle is this, “What you feed grows, what you starve dies. You don’t satisfy anything by feeding it; you only increase its capacity to grow.” So, what are you feeding the most, your spiritual man or your flesh by worldly things and entertainment?

Gal.5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”  God wants us to be free from any and all types of bondages of the enemy. Ungodly soul ties have kept many from the destinies that God has ordained for them. The ungodly ties have suppressed the eternal purposes of God, and frustrated plans for many believers who want to serve God.  Many are hiding behind a mask, but behind the mask are hurt, discouragement and broken hearts.  The pain is hidden on the outside, but it is very real on the inside. It is time to take off the mask, be honest and get free.

An ungodly soul tie is when the mind, will and emotions of a person becomes entangled to the point where their thoughts are not always their own, when a person is unnaturally affected by the will, the emotions and desires of someone or something else. You can also be soul-tied to things. When things in your life are keeping you from doing what God has called you to do, it is an ungodly tie. He wants you to have good things but He does not want things to have your heart.

A godly soul-tie will strengthen your emotional wholeness and walk with God. It will bear the fruit of love, fidelity, loyalty, honor and righteousness.

An ungodly soul-tie will bear the fruit of the flesh and not the spirit; as hatred, resentment, manipulation, anger, strife, jealousy, controlling others. They will keep you from a good relationship with God and bring bondage instead of freedom into your life.

A godly soul tie is a soul tie that is within the will of God for your life. An ungodly soul tie is when you have a soul tie outside the will of God for your life.

DIG ONE MORE TIME!

Genesis 26:18-19 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.

There are times in our lives that we are going through a spiritual valley and we want to obtain victory -- we want to have answers -- we want God's power to flow through us again but it seems like we have been forsaken by GOD. In times like these we must keep DIGGING until we hit water.

In this passage, Isaac found springing water after digging up the wells of his father Abraham again. In Hebrew, the phrase springing water is "mayim chayeem". It literally means "living waters".

Jesus has made us a promise during the feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles), "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." - John 7:38

The Lord promises us rivers of living water -- not a puddle, not a pond, not a lake -- He said rivers! These waters are not meant to be stagnant and not meant to be dammed up! They need to be flowing -- unrestricted like a river!

As believers of Christ, we have those living waters within us -- but we must clear out the obstacles in our lives that prevent them from flowing! Sins of unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, and envy are just a few of the barriers which can damn up the "rivers" of living water! We all need to seek the Lord and ask him to search us deeply and thoroughly in order for us to know how to destroy those obstacles that clog the free movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives!

Let's seek the Lord and re-dig our wells again!

I’M COMING OUT AGAINST ALL ODDS!

Exodus 3:7-8 (KJV) And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Many of Gods people though saved are still held in captivity in one or more areas of their lives, but I have good news for you; today is your day for liberation, now is the time for you to break loose from every bondage. Now is the time for you to come out of CAPTIVITY Say I’m coming out of captivity.

Because the king of Egypt was afraid of the children of Israel he brought them into bondage. When someone fears you they will try to put you in bondage.

Israel were people who had enjoyed abundance, freedom, joy, peace, Liberty, but are now slaves.  Not only were they made slaves, but the Pharaoh set taskmasters over them to oppress them, to push them, to beat them down, to demoralize them, to make their lives miserable.

Pharaoh made their lives bitter with hard bondage, whatever area they were working in, the taskmasters drove them with whips and hard punishments.  The children of Israel cried unto the Lord by reason of the bondage, and their cry came up to God. And God sent a deliverer named Moses.

And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters for I know their sorrows, and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians....Tell somebody you’re coming out against all odds!

Now you know the story, how God by the hand of Moses brought plague after plague upon Egypt until finally Pharaoh actually thrust them out. Pushed them out. Threw them out. Evicted them.

I came here today with your emancipation proclamation. Some of you have been in bondage in captivity, slavery, and oppression of the enemy, but I prophesy to you today you're coming out.

Ps.124:7 Says Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the Fowlers, the snare is broken and we are escaped.  I’M ON ASSIGNMENT to prophesy that your days of bondage, of slavery, of captivity, of oppression, are OVER, (you're coming out against all odds.).

There are all kinds of bondage's and captivities (of course we know sin is the greatest bondage and captivity there is).  But sickness and disease is a captivity, poverty and lack are captivities, depression, fear, anxiety, stress, and even grief can become a captivity, also religion and traditions can be a captivity to you. But Tell somebody you’re coming out against all odds!

(Then there are many of Gods people who are being held in captivity by guilt, shame and regret) it doesn't matter who you are where you've been or what you have done, or whats been done to you (God doesn't hold it against you) you are a new creature in him. I have been sent by God to tell you, (You are forgiven, you are free), free from the past, free from the pain, free from the guilt and shame, Jesus took it all on himself so you and I could be free. Glory

Matthew 12:34-35 Jesus said: ―O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things‖

2. Present Sins are In Your Trunk

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Physical – some are obsessed with the physical...

Materialism – over things people have...

Gossip—spreading rumors about others that’s not true

Spiritual – over knowledge, positions, and abilities...

A. Holding On To Those Memories—Brings Misery to you

B. Holding On To Those Manners—Betrays your Walk

C. Holding On To Those Mistakes—Berates your Potential

Ephesians 5:11-12.And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a SHAME even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

3.  Purging is In Your Trunk

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

A. Clean Out That Junk—Fresh start in life

B. Carrier Out That Junk—Freedom to see the truth

C. Consecrate Out That Junk—Fellowship with God

2 Cor. 13:5 – Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Eph. 5:15-17. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

ITS SPRING TIME SO CLEAN THE JUNK OUT OF YOUR TRUNK.

You will face problems, but GOD!

JOHN 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

In this world we will face all kinds of obstacles, trials and tribulations and we should be suspect of any doctrines or teachings that say we shouldn’t have to face them. Why? Because the Lord said we will have tribulations. So the encouragement He is giving is simply this: You’re going to face trials, but GOD is greater than any problem you will face in this world! Glory.

As problems present themselves, we should face them in the power of GOD and overcome them with Him -– because every problem is an opportunity to exhibit the love and power of God in our lives. And it’s often only through these situations that the world gets our true testimony as believers in Him!

So, lift up your head, and expect “obstacles" in this life, but continue looking up, and be filled with His joy, because the Lord has already overcome this world and our problems, and we will experience this when we simply give them over to Him!

EL SHADDAI THE GOD OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND!

Genesis 17:1-2 NKJV...When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”

In this particular text God is telling Abram who was already 99 years old if he walked before Him and be blameless, He would make a covenant between Him and Abram and multiply him greatly.  Almighty God in Hebrew is El SHADDAI.

El-Shaddai means God Almighty. El points to the power of God Himself. Shaddai seems to be derived from another word meaning breast, which implies that Shaddai signifies one who nourishes, supplies, and satisfies. It is God as El who helps, but it is God as Shaddai who abundantly blesses with all manner of blessings.

If we are going to build a confidence in the principle and process of confession, we must build a confidence in the person of our confession. We must consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.

The Greek word for profession is the same as the Greek word for confession, “homologeo.” A profession is what we do for income. As believers, confession is what we do to cause what is in heaven to come into the earth (that’s open heaven). It’s always open but we have to be in alignment with God and profess the right wording. Our words have to be specific.

Our profession is confession. Christ Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. He is the Word of God (John 1:1) and He is the God of the Word (Heb 1:8...Your throne, O God, is forever and ever). In order to learn to trust in His word, we must learn to trust Him. To learn to trust Him, we must get to know Him more. We must get to know Him more, that we may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings (Phil 3:10).

We should want to know Him more that we may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge (Eph 3:18-19). God wants us to know more about His power and His personality, His authority and His ability, His conduct and His character so He introduces us to different facets of His nature by introducing Himself to different people at different times in different situations by different names. Somebody say EL SHADDAI the God of supply and demand.

                                                                   YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!

Hosea 10:12 - Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

This month is the start of spring and this is the time for sowing seeds. But before we can plant we must prepare the ground by clearings, digging and breaking up the fallow ground.

Whatever you plan to reap, you must sow the same seed. To reap God’s mercy, grace, forgiveness, blessing, strength, kindness, goodness, love, life, we must sow in righteousness. Sowing in righteousness is to sow things right in God’s sight, things that please GOD.

Galatians 6:7 Don’t be deceived, you can’t fool God, whatever you sow you will reap. Gal 6:8 If you sow to the flesh you will reap corruption but if you sow to the Spirit you will reap everlasting life.

Galatians 5:19-21 describes sowing to the flesh: Adultery - sex outside marriage, uncleaness - dirty-mindedness, idolatry - things before God, hatred - of others, fornication - sex before marriage, licentiousness - uncontrolled desires, sorcery - drug taking, contentions - arguments etc.

Galations 5:22-23 describes sowing to the Spirit: love - doing good to others, joy - a thankful heart to God, peace - inward rest in God, long-suffering - having a long fuse, gentleness – kindness, goodness - purity, truthfulness, faithfulness - trustworthy, reliable, meekness – Spirit-controlled, self control - personal discipline.

Hos 10:12. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes and rains righteousness upon you. Before we sow we must clear the weeds and break up the soil. We do this by repentance, being honest and open with God and others we can trust. If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us and to set us free, 1Jn 1:9, Jam 5:16. If we cover our sins we will not prosper but if we confess and forsake them we will have mercy, Pro 28:13. 10. Jesus said if we continue in His Word, we are truly His disciples and we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free from sinful bondage, Jn 8:31-36.

Once the soil is prepared, the farmer sows good seed in the good ground.

10 seeds of righteousness to sow are in Ex 20:1-17.

a. Give God first place in your life, Phil 2:10.

b. Refuse to have any other thing before Him, 1Jn 5:21.

c. Honour His Name at all times, Lk 11:2.

d. Keep the Lord’s Day for the Lord, Ps 31:15.

e. Respect and care for your parents, Mat 15:4-6.

f. Forgive, pray for and bless others who hurt you, Mat 5:44, Mk 11:25,26.

g. Keep your marriage vows to your wife/husband, Eccl 9:9, Mal 2:14-16.

h. Respect the property of others and protect it for them, Mat 7:12, Ex 23:4.

Remember you YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!

i. Always tell the truth, in love, about others, Eph 4:15, Ps 101:5.

j. Be content with what you have and give to others in need, 1Tim 6:6,7, Lk 6:38.

JOHN 10:7-11

Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers:but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door:by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd:the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
See I used to be a good fisherman of fish and one thing I learned is that when you go fishing you have to

4.  HAVE PATIENCE DONT RUSH
5.  STAY ALERT WATCH POLE

Kingdom Builders Christian Ministries A Spiritually Militant Church

In the process of apostolic maturing of the Church there is an emerging, spiritually militant boldness on all fronts of Church life. Not with guns and bombs like deluded terrorists, but spiritual weapons like strategic prayer, intercession, preaching, teaching and praise & worship. Music (SHOFAR & PRAISE/WORSHIP) has been, and is increasingly setting this tone of spiritual militancy.  Now it is time for the prophetic to take its true mature place alongside the apostolic gifts and anointing. To bring structure both spiritual and natural to facilitate what the Lord is doing in the Church - to clear the rubble from the spiritual gaps in the wall of the House of the Lord (Nehemiah 4:10), and to build apostolic churches. To plant churches powerfully, in spiritually governing strength, with five-fold ministry teams. Apostolic church bases that will actually affect and change whole cities, nations, and even governments.

We have seen this in part happening in KBCM but there are more wonderful days ahead of all of us as we press on to the high calling of Christ JESUS in our lives. Singers, musicians, Preachers, Teachers, THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY in the realm of the creative arts will also need to carry apostolic wisdom in the nurturing and releasing of these gifts in the MARKETPLACE. It is important we prepare - because we will not handle the onslaught of spiritual wickedness that will inevitably come against the rising army of the Church. It is a global army because there is a global fight! A fight against the ultimate global terrorist - the devil!

Territorial Spirits – Governing spirits/strongholds over regions, cities, nations. Daniel 10:13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:” 1 Corinthians 15:32 ‘If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus,”
Strongholds – Mindsets, Doctrines, Ideologies contrary to the Word of God. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “… mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds,”
To establish the Apostolic in GOD's people
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” NKJV
This is an Apostolic Commission!!
Evangelists make believers/converts – Apostles make disciples.
Establish Churches
Apostolic People require Apostolic Churches where they will be equipped and released for the work of the ministry through:
Doctrine- Acts 2:42 “…they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,”
Preaching- Inspiration through exhortation, proclamation and demonstration.  Mark 16:15 “And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,”
Teaching- Inspiration through edification (building up).  Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,”
Treaching - (combination of teaching & preaching)
Matthew 4:23 “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing (demonstration) all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people,”
Establish Biblical Order/Government
Restore five-fold (government) ministry to oversee and maintain the order of God, which is represented through theocracy and not democracy.
Theocracy -God controlled, God centered, God ruled.
Democracy- People controlled, People centered, People ruled. 1 Corinthians 12:28; Ephesians 4:11-16; Titus 1:5
Establish “Fathering Ministries/Relationship”
1 Corinthians 4:15 “For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet [have ye] not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”

Fathers and overseers are committed to establishing and developing growing relationship.

Some Fatherly Responsibilities:
1. Training and Discipline - Exodus 18:13-26; Hebrews 12:5-10; Colossians 1:28
2.  Reproduce - John 15:16

3.. Releasing - Acts11: 21-22; Acts13:3-4

4.. Impartation - 2 Timothy 1:6
5. Provision

Everyone needs to submit under GOD's government, no one is exempt, Kingdom Builders Christian Ministries definitely is a place for anyone who is without a Church home and wants to grow in the LORD.

Everyone – Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers and laypersons, are required to submit to a Pastor. This is God’s order of government. The Pastor is the head of the local Church and everyone is to be a part of a local Church somewhere. (Ephesians 4:11-14)

What I am saying is that everyone, even the other Ministry offices, should have a Pastor. There are no exceptions to this. The most effective Five-fold Ministers in the Earth have Pastors whom they can call upon.

Everyone will ultimately give account for how they treated their Pastors. 2Corinthians 5:10)

A quick teaching on the theme for 2015 for KBCM by Apostle L.R.Gooden Jr.

SCRIPTURE AND THEME FOR  2015

EDIFYING, EQUIPPING, EMPOWERING FOR KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT

EPH. 4:12. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

These ministry gifts (EPH 4:11) are to equip the saints, and then the saints are to do the work of the ministry. The Amplified Bible translates this verse as "His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church)."

It is a mistake to place the burden of ministry on what we call "the clergy." Full-time ministers are to minister the Word to the saints, but the saints are to go out and reach the lost and carry the bulk of the ministry within the church. Shepherds don't have sheep; they tend the sheep, and the sheep should reproduce.

It has been a big mistake to "hire" ministers to do what the individual members of the church are supposed to do. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are simply leaders who equip the saints so that they can be successful in the ministries God has given them.

In EPH 4:12 the word "for" can mean because of, as a result of, since, or it can mean so as to obtain. It is the latter definition that is meant here. The apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers of EPH 4:11 minister "so as to obtain" the saints being equipped so that they can do the work of the ministry, which in turn obtains the edifying of the body of Christ. The clergy doesn't do all these things. They start the process through leadership, and the body edifies itself in love (EPH 4:16).

The Greek word that was translated "perfecting" here is "KATARTISMOS," and it means "a fitting or preparing fully" (Vine's Expository Dictionary). It does not denote the absence of all flaws. The Lord gave the gifted ministers listed in EPH 4:11 to help fully prepare the saints so that they could do the work of the ministry.

Remember it takes a Disciple (a disciplined learner) not a complainer, not a critic, not a murmurer, not a know it all, but a DISCIPLE.  It's time for the Church to line-up, straighten-up and fall in place with true GOD ordained leadership.  Amen.
