Statement of Beliefs
We believe in the eternal pre-existence, physical incarnation, sinless life, miracle ministry, death, burial, bodily resurrection, ascension, and soon coming return of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Lord of lords, the King of kings, and is the only way to know God.
We believe that salvation (the new birth) happens by repenting from sin and receiving Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior. Salvation is through faith, by grace, and not by works.
We believe that the Holy Bible alone is the written Word of God, and that Scripture is the final authority on all matters eternal and temporal.
We believe that one God exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that regeneration of man’s heart is impossible without the person and work of the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit empowers the believer to live a life that is pleasing to God.
We believe in water baptism by immersion as commanded by the Lord Jesus and demonstrated repeatedly in the Book of Acts.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a second experience subsequent to salvation which is evidenced by speaking in tongues and that this empowerment is available to all believers.
We believe in the present day operation of all nine manifestation gifts of the Holy Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12, and in present day miracles, healings, deliverance from demons, signs, wonders, dreams and visions.
We believe that all five offices of the five-fold ministry (ascension ministry gifts) listed in Ephesians Chapter 4 are still functioning today, and that these five offices are the true God-appointed leaders in the body of Christ, called and separated by God to gently lead and richly feed God’s people: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.
We believe in “The Great Commandment” to love one another as Christ loved us, and the urgency of obeying “The Great Commission” to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.
We believe in the physical resurrection of all believers’ bodies, and that the church will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord Jesus. We also believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to this earth and that every person will be judged in eternity , giving a personal account to God.
We believe the Biblical principle of tithing 10% of our incomes to God has always been the practice of obedient believers before the law, during the law, and after the law, and is a New Testament principle designed by God to simultaneously prosper both the Kingdom of God and the tither. ("Tithe" = "Tenth" in the Hebrew and Greek
We believe in the laying on of hands for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons, and for the receiving of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 6:6 and 8:17; 1 Timothy 4:14).
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope, and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from God. (Psalm 9:17, Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9, and 25:31-34; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; and Revelation 3:10, 5:7-10, and 7:13-14).
We believe homosexuality and all other "sexual preferences" or "orientations" are unnatural, sinful, and unacceptable to God. Accordingly, this ministry will not perform any marriage ceremonies between two individuals of the same sex. It will not condone or recognize such same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships, even though state law provides for recognition of such unions.
We also believe that sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, pre-marital sex, incest, polygamy, homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism, cross-dressing, pedophilia and bestiality are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious behavior, the creation, viewing, and/or distribution of pornography and efforts to alter one's physical gender or gender related appearance are incompatible with a true biblical witness. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11, 6:18-20, and 7:1- 3 and 8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; and 1 Timothy 1:9-11).
We believe the Bible is clear in its teaching on the sanctity of human life. Human life begins at conception. Therefore, we abhor the destruction of innocent human life through abortion-on demand, embryo research, cloning, and any other procedure that would harm or destroy innocent human life after conception.
We believe that the Bible places a high moral standard on those who would be ministers of the Gospel. Therefore, we expect moral and ethical integrity among those with whom we fellowship. We reserve the right to remove from fellowship any who become doctrinally aberrant, philosophically incompatible, or morally compromised.
We believe the Family is ordained by God and is the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption.
Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God's unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race.
Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to their children God's pattern for marriage. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and to lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.
